When we received this desk set, I was amazed by how nice it looks and the quality is great. Both the desks and the hutch are absolutely beautiful. They are also huge and filled out my office nicely. For the size and workmanship, the value is phenomenal. However, the quality of the chair is just unacceptable. The chair has plastic casters, which is not a good choice for something so heavy. When we first got the chair, one of the plastic casters was shattered and we received a replacement, but could not remove the metal base of the caster that the plastic wheel broke off of. The replacement included the entire caster, metal base included, so we could not use it. We then received a completely new base for the chair, then found it was screwed together wrong and threw the chair completely off balance. We're having to take the entire chair base apart and reassemble it to balance it. In addition, the chair is not very comfortable.Having said all that, the shoddy workmanship of the chair does not detract from the beauty and great quality of the desk and hutch set itself. I would have still paid the same price for this set minus the chair. [...]

I like the quality and value so much, that I ordered another set for my office at my cottage. In fact, I think the company has this SKU mispriced. You get all 4 pieces of furniture for the same price as what the desk/chair combo is priced on the website.

With the low price, I was worried that the quality would not be that great. Was I ever surprised! The desk alone weighs over 300 lbs - this is very heavy duty and great quality. I have recommended to friends.
